On into South Dakota



Deadwood, SD

Had to stop and visit this old west town with its history and iconic characters. 






Although there is nothing left of the old town (2 fires and a flood), they have preserved the main street from around the turn of the 20th century. 




Historic vignettes and gun fights are played out on the streets throughout the day and if you like, you can attend the trial of that scoundrel Jack McCall, who murdered “Wild Bill” Hickok.
