An EASY beginnning

OK. Here we go. I had to remind myself how to do this blogging, but it wasn't that difficult to get back into it. Decided to be sure everything was working properly with the truck and trailer before hitting the road, so I went up the Goat River for a couple of weeks. Did some cutthroat fishing, swimming, biking and huckleberry picking. Had a tough time adjusting at first, but managed to get into the swing of it in a remarkably short time. Managed to avoid the smokier conditions of Creston. Ahh, there is nothing like huckleberry-walnut pancakes to make one's camping experience special.

What a magnificent animal that is so well adapted to the varied extremes of its environment. This area has also managed to preserve its prairie dog populations, as well.
